The Journey Begins...Again

We've ventured into the world of fostering and adoption once again. As most of you know, Tim was raised in foster homes and boys' homes and holds children in similar circumstances close to his heart. We looked into fostering and/or adopting back in 2007, but the time wasn't right for many reasons (and frankly CPS scared the crap out of us). We found a local faith-based agency here that contracts with CPS to place their children and there are many advantages to working with them rather than going straight to the state. We attended our informational meeting last week and have begun to accumulate the necessary documents to begin the process. Next week will be our second informational meeting and then hopefully our training will begin.
