Big Girl Panties
Makenzie's been doing great with potty training while she's at home, but daycare is a different story. They seemed rather resistent to going for it 110%. They would take her to the potty, but only at her normal "diaper changing" times. So she would wear diapers (and use them) all day at school and then come home and be a "big girl" in the evenings and on the weekends. So I decided to put my foot down (since I'm paying them to take care of my precious cargo). I put her in panties this morning and we marched into school and gave them no choice but to "Put on their big girl panties and just deal with it!" And guess what?! She went all day with NO ACCIDENTS! Yay Makenzie--I'm so proud of you!

Celebrate!
We packed up last Thursday and headed to Joplin, Missouri to celebrate July 4th and Grandma Becky's 60th birthday.
It's about a 10 hour trip and Makenzie did very well, all things considering. July 4th we got up bright and early and loaded up Tim, Makenzie, me, Becky, Kelly, Kylie, Kenley and Cooper and headed to Branson for a day of fun at Silver Dollar City. The kids and the adults all had a blast as we spent 8 1/2 hours riding rides before we headed back to Joplin.
See the slideshow above for pics because I can't make it work....
Saturday the 5th, we celebrated Becky's 60th birthday with a party at the barn, complete with karaoke, fireworks, booze of course, and fried chicken at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Tim made breakfast for all the folks with hangovers that had crashed at Becky and Ron's house and we spent the rest of the day cleaning up and resting. We headed home Monday and began a new week!
