Culmination of a Journey

In January of 2010, I began a 15 month journey to a BS in Nursing via an accelerated program at the Texas A&M Health Science Center. This past Friday, that journey was over and I graduated with my BSN.

I worked HARD you guys and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 in my nursing classes. I was surprised during the commencement by being awarded the Dean's Excellence Award, and it was so validating for all that our little family has sacrificed for the past year and a half.

It seems 5 years has evidently passed since I gave birth to a very spunky baby girl. It doesn't seem possible, but she celebrated her 5th birthday this week! In true diva fashion, she hosted a Princess and Pink Poodle Party!

This was on her actual birthday before going to school. My mom and I made her 2 shirts this year.
