Fun in the Sun

We met several families at a local pool last night for a little swim time and picnic. It's a very kid-friendly pool with a beach-type entrance, small water slide and maximum depth of about 4 feet. Makenzie was very weary of it at first--maybe because her dad was splashing her and otherwise trying to soak her from head to toe--but she quickly warmed up to the idea. She went down the slide about 50 bajillion times and cruised around in the shallow water like she was a big girl. She went too far out a couple times and drank some nasty pool water involuntarily, but we were right behind to scoop her back up and put her back in the shallow end. It was alot of fun and a very cheap family outing--Makenzie was free and Tim and I were $2.50 each! Wish I had some pictures to post, but she kept me too busy!
