Wow--that was fast!

So as I mentioned a couple of days ago, our licensing should be complete by week's end. I wasn't expecting the email I got at lunch to come quite so soon...

"3 boys ages 1.5 to 5 years old removed due to physical abuse--will you consider them?"

I think I've kept this whole process at arm's length because it seemed like it would take so long. I have an ability (which I'm not really so fond of truthfully) to keep my emotions in a nice little box that I only take out when I am ready. Sometimes, they sneak out when I'm not expecting them.

I read that email and my heart rate quickened, my stomach dropped and my eyes teared up. 3 little boys all alone in the world because someone they trust has hurt them--how can I say no?

This is going to be harder than I thought....
