Christmas Festivities

Again this year, we took a ride through Santa's Wonderland on Christmas Eve. This year, Nanny and Granny went with us and it was very very cold and windy!

Makenzie konked out just after we headed home from the lights show and she slept for about 2 hours while I made the cake for Christmas day.
She woke up about 9:30pm and had a snack and stayed awake until after midnight! Santa had to wait until very late to come by our house, but he ate our cookies and drank our milk....
...but he must have been in a hurry because he knocked down the fireplace screen on the way down the chimney.
Makenzie slept late on Christmas day after her midnight bedtime, but she eventually peaked her head over the staircase to see what Santa left her!!
Her favorites in her stocking were the nail polish and "glipgloss" (lipgloss).
And the much anticipated pink bicycle was a big hit!
All ready for her maiden voyage.

Merry Christmas

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

New photos

This weekend, we went with some friends to a park near our home to take some family photos. Tim put our new camera to good use and showed off his photography skills. I thought they turned our great!

Christmas Decor

We went back to the same little tree farm in Wheelock this year and cut down our favorite Leyland Cypress.

Here's the final product.

Texas Renaissance Festival

Tim hadn't ever been to the Ren Fest, so we spent one afternoon there this weekend. The weather was very pleasant and it was a nice outing for Thanksgiving weekend!

Makenzie's favorite was the juggling act.

Or maybe it was riding the pony...

Jousting

We were rooting for Sir Thomas of England!

Birds of Prey Show

Isn't he pretty?

Thankful Days 28-30

I am thankful for:

~The opportunity to catch up with family that I haven't seen in quite a while.
~A husband who is willing to watch a chick flick with me and actually act like he enjoyed it.
~A Monday morning that wasn't nearly as hectic as I was afraid it would be.
