Stormie was was so excited to turn 3 years old. She is so stoic--hard to get a smile out of this girl, but she is very happy and content most of the time. Stormie is so super smart and articulate. She can sit for hours and play quietly all by herself (and really prefers it that way). I love that she's the unique one stuck in the middle....long and tall with beautiful blond hair. At her check up, she was 38.4lbs and 41.5in tall.....95th percentile for height, but so far off the chart for height it's crazy.
About 30 minutes after I dropped her off at daycare, I got a call that she was spinning in circles and took a faceplant to the floor. So off to the dentist we went to check her front teeth. They noticed it was her birthday and asked her how old she was and she said "TEN!"
She wanted a big girl bicycle for her birthday and I couldn't pass this one up with the old fashioned banana seat. She was most excited about putting stuff in the basket on the front! Her aunt and uncle sent her an Amazon giftcard and she wanted a Barbie house. She was so excited when it arrived!

Random August Happenings
My chubby bathing beauty--isn't she precious??
First day of 5th grade! So grown up and beautiful.
She cannot wait to run with the big girls and do gymnastics!

Vegas Baby!
There's plenty I want to forget about this trip, but it's a memory in our journey nonetheless, so I will share the pictures!

Aggie Graduation Festivities
Tim has worked so very hard to finish his degree at Texas A&M and I could not possibly be prouder of any individual on this planet. He has worked full time, had a family full time and gone to school full time. I honestly was bursting with excitement for him the morning we picked up his ring--he has waited so long for this!

Golden Gator!
At Makenzie's school, they have a citizenship award given out each six weeks called "Golden Gator". I think she's gotten one each year, if I remember correctly. She is always so proud to get it and it's a surprise to the student--they email the parents to make sure they are able to attend, but the kiddos don't know they're getting it. Dad had to miss this one, but I was able to leave work to be there.

Nutcracker
Our local community assembles a cast of ballet dancers from all of the area dance academies and then imports some very accomplished ballerinas from around the country to put on The Nutcracker every year. This year, I started a tradition of taking my girls [that are old enough to sit still and be quiet] to watch it. Next year, we should be able to add one more girl to the tradition and then the third maybe can join us in 2017!
